Quotes that leave correct and come back signed.
Line items with HSN and SAC codes, tax decided by place of supply, a PDF that looks like your company, and a deal that moves itself the moment the quote goes out.
- Branded PDFs
- Versioned, never overwritten
- Tax computed in the database
SimplCRM builds GST quotations from your product catalogue: each line carries its HSN or SAC code and rate, tax is applied as CGST and SGST or IGST according to the place of supply, and the document renders to a branded PDF. Revisions are new versions rather than overwrites, and sending a quotation advances the deal automatically.
From line item to signed order
Where do the line items come from?
From a product and service catalogue, so the description, the rate and the HSN or SAC code are typed once and reused. Prices can be overridden on a quotation when a deal needs it, and the override is recorded — what was given away is visible later rather than buried in a total.
How is the tax applied?
Per line, from the supplying branch’s state and the customer’s place of supply. Same state gives CGST and SGST; different states give IGST; SEZ and exports are zero-rated with the reason recorded. It is calculated in the database to the paisa, so the figure on the PDF is the figure in the report.
What does the PDF look like?
Like your company. Your logo, your registered details and the branch’s GSTIN, laid out as a document a customer’s accounts team will recognise. The logo also frames the email that carries it, so the covering message is not a plain-text note from an unfamiliar address.
What happens after it is sent?
The deal moves to Negotiation on its own, and the sent document is kept as a version. Nobody has to remember to drag a card, and nobody can quietly edit the file that was sent. When the customer replies, the reply threads back onto the same deal.
Questions people ask
What should a GST quotation contain?
The supplier’s name, address and GSTIN; the customer’s details and the place of supply; a line for each item with its description, HSN or SAC code, quantity, rate and taxable value; the tax split into CGST and SGST or shown as IGST; the total in figures; and the validity of the offer.
Can I send a quotation as a PDF?
Yes. Every quotation renders to a PDF carrying your logo and company details, ready to attach to an email sent from your own address. The same logo appears on the email itself, not only on the attachment.
What happens when a quotation is revised?
A revision is a new version, not an overwrite. The document you sent in March still reads as it did in March, including the tax rate that applied then, which is what makes a dispute in July a matter of record rather than of recollection.
